As a true believer in the “follow your passion” slogan, Todd fell in love with the real estate industry while still being a teacher. He actually had 5 rental properties at the time. With teaching earning him just $30,000 a year, he decided to ditch it for house flipping in 2015.
After teaching for years, it was “just becoming a pain and never exciting to him.” Todd opted for a much higher purpose and more exciting experience and started dealing in rentals, focusing mainly on duplexes and single-family homes. Later in 2015, he started dealing with 20+ unit multifamily properties. Drawing inspiration from his mentor who at the time was dealing with 200+ unit properties, he went all in and tried his luck! This led him to start dealing with 100+ unit properties between 2016 and 2018.
Success came so quickly! The following year he partnered with Endurus Capital and now has over 4,000 units collectively, and still growing! One of the key takeaways here is the power of believing in your moves and taking bigger risks for much bigger deals. Todd was very hungry for success and wealth creation that he kept grabbing all the opportunities that presented themselves. And it paid off!
