In this episode of the Investor Financing Podcast, Beau talks with “Hutch The Marine Investor” Hutchinson, who narrates his journey into real estate, starting from his work in the military.
Hutch first describes his experiences in the US Marine Corps, which he had been passionate about right from childhood when he had the desire to join the US military. He started out turning wrenches and moved up to more of a managerial role in the Mechanics Department.
While in the Marines, Hutch took up the idea of flipping properties using other people's money but after seeing the many other possibilities at a seminar, he got more interested in multi-family real estate. He saw an opportunity and pivoted into it with a business partner and they started H Squared Capital.
Also highlighting his background in Jamaica, Hutch talks about the paradigm shift he had to undergo to move from poverty to his success today.
